We are looking to employ a Senior Waiter, an experienced and professional member of the waitstaff team, responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. You should have a thorough understanding of food and wine pairings, menu items, and restaurant procedures.
Role: As a Senior Waiter, you will be responsible for overseeing the waitstaff team and providing guidance and support to junior staff members. You will also be responsible for providing a high level of customer service, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the dining room is clean and organised. You will have a thorough knowledge of the menu items, including food and wine pairings, and be able to provide recommendations to guests. You will also handle guest complaints and issues and collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure an impeccable dining experience.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a Senior Waiter may include overseeing the waitstaff team, providing guidance and training to junior staff members, ensuring excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling guest complaints, collaborating with kitchen and bar staff, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the dining room, and managing reservations and table assignments.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a highly experienced and professional Senior Waiter with a minimum of 10 years of experience working in a world-class hotel, Michelin-star restaurant, or equivalent establishment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a thorough understanding of food and wine, menu items, and restaurant procedures. You should also have experience in managing and training a team of waitstaff and be able to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Even better if you have/are: An ideal Senior Waiter candidate may have experience working in upscale or fine dining restaurants, as well as experience in wine service, sommelier training, or other related areas. You may also have a degree or certification in hospitality or restaurant management. A passion for food and wine, as well as a dedication to providing a seamless and exceptional dining experience, is highly desirable. Minimum 10 years of experience at a world leading hotel/Michelin star restaurant or equivalent establishment is a must.
